The Australian Hand Therapy Association Scope of Clinical Practice aims to provide an overview of the services offered by appropriately qualified and experienced hand therapy practitioners in Australia.

The Scope of Clinical Practice describes the full range of tasks that can be performed by hand therapy practitioners, given the current clinical and educational settings in Australia.

However, in specific settings and contexts, it may be that hand therapy practitioners perform or assist in tasks beyond those described, frequently referred to as an advanced or extended scope of clinical practice.
