The purpose of the philanthropic grant is to assist with financing outreach work in developing countries to foster national and international links.
The outreach programs make a difference to the lives of people in developing countries and provide hand therapy expertise. This will usually take the form of teaching to build sustainable local capacity, contributing to the long term growth of the field of hand therapy and strengthening voluntary work and the culture of giving and sharing expertise.
The AHTA provides funding of up to $4500 per annum.
Applications are accepted all year around and must be received 4 months prior to the planned activity.
