VIC Interest Group News - December
It has been a busy year for the Victorian AHTA. We would like to thank all our SIG presenters for time and work they put in to their presentations, we have enjoyed a high standard of education this year.
Our final meeting will be on December 4th at 6:30pm, Dr Andrew Li will be presenting on Osseointegrated prostheses versus replantation for digital amputations: comparison study. The meeting will be followed by our Christmas break up, a great opportunity to eat drink and chat with your fellow hand therapists. We hope to see you all there!
We would like to acknowledge the following members for their contributions to the 2019 AHTA National Conference: Pearse Fay, Lisa O'Brien and a special congratulations to Rosie House for being awarded the Jill Chapman Award for best clinical free paper.
We would also like to remind therapists of the upcoming 8th Asia-Pacific Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy and 12th Asia-Pacific Federation of Societies for Hand Surgery conference will be held in Melbourne from 11-14 March 2020. Please contact us if you are interested in supporting therapists from developing countries to attend.
Finally, this will be the last meeting for Hana, Marissa and Helen in their role as state representative. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Stephanie Everest, Leanne Graham and Kate Wharton who will be taking up the reins for next year. We would like to thank the AHTA office and Vic members for their support whilst in the role. It has been challenging at times, but very rewarding. We wish you all a safe and merry Christmas!
