The AHTA VIC Division invites you to attend the 3 Hot Topics: The TOUCH arthroplasty, intercarpal injuries, and quickfire questions webinar presented by Mr Peter Maloney. This meeting is being held online only.

Join Mr Peter Maloney in an informative discussion on the current management of first CMCJ arthritis including the TOUCH arthroplasty. This will be followed by an insightful overview of intercarpal injuries with tips on what “not to miss” and subtle presentations. Finally, we encourage attendees to submit questions (either prior to VIC@ahta.com.au or on the night via chat) to be proposed to our expert surgeon on any clinical topic or scenario. 

Mr Peter Maloney

Mr Maloney completed his training with a hand fellowship with the Victorian Hand Surgery Associates in 2006, and with the Sydney Hand Unit in 2007. He has undertaken a Hand and Peripheral Nerve Fellowship with Professor C. Oberlin in Paris in France from 2008 – 2009.

Since 2009, Mr Maloney has worked as a Consultant Hand Surgeon at Victorian Hand Surgery Associates and has public appointments at St Vincent’s and Dandenong Hospital. He also consults in Bendigo regularly to provide a rural and regional service.

Mr Maloney is actively involved in registrar education and is a member of the Australian Hand Surgery Society. He is also an Interplast volunteer, travelling to Madang and Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea to take part in hand surgery missions, and is currently a member of the Interplast Clinical Governance Committee.
