Scar Management in Hand Therapy | VIC Meeting

The AHTA VC Division invites you to attend the Scar Management in Hand Therapy: Understanding Scar Healing and Evidence-Based Interventions meeting presented by Jess Cauchi. 

Jess is a hand therapist with a special interest in post-operative wound and scar management following common hand surgeries. At the upcoming Victorian Members Meeting, she will present on evidence-based scar management interventions that hand therapists can implement in clinical practice, with a focus on the highest-level evidence currently available. Jess will also share clinical case examples demonstrating the application and outcomes of these interventions in practice.

With more than nine years of dedicated service across both public and private healthcare settings, Jess is a specialist in hand and upper limb rehabilitation. As the Clinic Director at Melbourne Hand Rehab - Caroline Springs, she leads the clinical team with compassion, precision, and a commitment to excellence.

Jess is an AHTA-Accredited Hand Therapist, a tutor in the Early Career Fellowship in Hand Therapy, and a mentor to junior therapists - roles that underscore not only her clinical proficiency but her passion for growing the next generation of hand therapists.

Under her leadership, the Caroline Springs clinic is known for delivering patient-centred care, evidence-based rehabilitation, and a collaborative team environment. As part of the Melbourne Hand Rehab network, the clinic aligns with a broader ethos of working closely with orthopaedic and plastic surgeons, rheumatologists, GPs, and other specialists to deliver tailored recovery pathways for hand, wrist, elbow, and upper limb conditions.
