The AHTA invites you to attend The Shoulder: Surgical insights and clinical Q&A webinar, being presented by Dr Mike Thomas, Liz Giuffre and Paula Peralta. This meeting is being held online only.

Dr Mike Thomas, Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Mike Thomas is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon, working at the Gold Coast since 2007, currently 50% public and private. His practice involves all upper limb, with an interest in shoulder reconstruction, both bony and soft tissue. 

Dr Thomas' shoulder research has focused on allied health models for shoulder assessment and mapping pain in the shoulder population. He has a keen interest in quality improvement and standardisation of best practice models, and is current Co-chair of the QLD surgical services clinical network and orthopaedic lead for GIRFT (Getting it right first time).

Following Dr Thomas' presentation, join Liz Giuffre and Paula Peralta — developers and presenters of the AHTA Shoulder Course — for a live “Ask Us Anything” session. 4. How do you juggle treating a patient with both proximal and distal injuries
