Splinting Workshop | VIC Meeting

The AHTA invites you to attend the Splinting Workshop, being hosted by the VIC Division. In-person attendance only. Please note places are limited.

The first one was such a success, we’re going again!

You are warmly invited to Bendigo for a half day splinting workshop.

Experienced therapists will share their clinical pearls and provide the opportunity to practice making splints. This is an opportunity to meet and greet with other Victorian hand therapy colleagues and share knowledge, tips and tricks in a morning of fun.

• Janelle Kilcullen will present on her experiences in the emergency department in managing acute fractures and share some clinical gems for hand therapists.
• Matt Grange is discussing his research outcomes on the management of stable PIPJ volar plate injuries with a figure 8 orthosis following his research publication in the Journal of Hand Therapy and an update on current research. 
• Susie Ellis will discuss the management of oedema in hand therapy, tips, tricks and some handy ideas for treatment.
• Metacarpal fractures and volar plate injuries- clinical pearls, experienced learnings and practical splint design ideas.
