Cairns Hand Clinic - Early Career Hand Therapy Practitioner (Level 1)

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Level 1 Early Career Hand Therapy Practitioner to join our dynamic private practice in tropical Cairns in a full time role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinician looking to consolidate and advance their skills in a specialized upper limb and hand therapy setting. You will work alongside experienced therapists, managing a diverse caseload of acute injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a variety of hand and upper limb conditions.
• Fabricate custom static and dynamic splints/orthoses.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation and exercise programs.
• Collaborate closely with local general practitioners, orthopaedic surgeons, and insurers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, professional, and timely clinical documentation.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: AQF Level 7 qualification—Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy is a mandatory pre-requisite.
• Registration: Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions.
• Experience: Prior clinical experience specifically in hand therapy is essential for this role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with a diverse patient demographic. Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
