Scholarships & Research Grants

The following research scholarships and bursaries are available through the AHTA.

Award Funding Duration Closing date
Research Bursary Up to $1,000 Single payment – report to be given at next annual conference 30 August
MSc / PhD Research Dissertation Up to $1,000 Single payment – report to be given at next annual conference 30 August
Priority Research Up to $2,000 Paid over 2 years. A progress report to be provided to the AHTA Management Committee at the end of the first year, and a paper to be given at the annual conference in the second year. Available when previous project finished. Date to be advertised in newsletter. 30 August
Small Project/Rural Project Up to $1,000 Single payment – report to be given at next annual conference. 30 August
Conference Bursaries (National/ International) AHTA or IFSHT $500 Single payment – Paper to be given at the conference for which the bursary is sought. 30 August

Please Note:

Not all Bursaries or Research Scholarships will be given each year, this will depend on the availability of research funds held by the AHTA.

Individuals may apply for one award only in any one year.

bullet

A call for applications for bursaries and scholarships available for the next year will be made 4-6 months prior to annual conference and AGM.
